In mechanical and cooling tower facilities, fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) fan stacks are required. The FRP molded fan stack consists of several fan stack segments forming the fan stack body. The fan stack body is made through the molding process of several fan stack segments. The molded fan stack body has smooth surfaces on both sides, reducing air resistance. The molding process is conducted in a clean and hygienic environment, improving working conditions. Additionally, the molding process has low temperature and pressure requirements, providing flexibility and significantly reducing equipment and mold costs. The molding machine for FRP cooling tower fan stacks is referred to as an FRP cooling tower fan stack molding hydraulic press, and it is available in hydraulic presses with capacities of 1500 tons, 1800 tons, 2000 tons, 3000 tons, 4500 tons, and 5000 tons, with the option of a four-column or frame structure.

The 3000-ton FRP cooling tower fan stack molding hydraulic press consists of the mainframe, hydraulic system, and electrical control system.




1. Mainframe:




The mainframe of the 3000-ton FRP cooling tower fan stack molding hydraulic press is composed of upper and lower crossbeams, slide, columns, and nuts. The upper and lower crossbeams are connected by four columns and nuts, forming a rigid frame. The slide moves up and down along the columns. The upper and lower guides of the slide are equipped with dust seals to prevent dust from scratching the columns. The T-slots are provided on the slide and lower crossbeam (specific dimensions need to be specified). The column nuts can adjust the unevenness of the worktable and the non-perpendicularity between the worktable and the piston. The large components of the 3000-ton FRP cooling tower fan stack molding hydraulic press are processed using large CNC floor-type boring and milling machines and high-precision CNC gantry planer milling machines. The three-beam four-column structure is optimized through computer analysis and finite element analysis, ensuring high equipment strength and an aesthetically pleasing appearance.




2. Hydraulic Cylinder:




The main cylinder of the 3000-ton FRP cooling tower fan stack molding hydraulic press adopts a piston cylinder structure and is fixed in the center hole of the upper crossbeam with bolts. The cylinder body undergoes roller processing, and the piston rod is quenched and polished with hard chromium, making it wear-resistant, aesthetically pleasing, and corrosion-resistant.




3. Hydraulic Control System:




   - The hydraulic system operates at a pressure of 25MPa, and the rated pressure of components is 31.5MPa, contributing to the longevity of hydraulic system components.




   - The high-pressure main oil pump uses a domestically produced high-quality axial piston pump driven by an electric motor, typically horizontally installed.




   - The hydraulic control system adopts a two-way cartridge valve integrated system, providing advantages such as low oil resistance, large flow, pollution resistance, rapid response, high safety and reliability, flexible control, and easy maintenance.




   - The integrated design of the two-way cartridge valve is reasonable and convenient for manufacturing, debugging, and maintenance.




   - The hydraulic control system achieves the following main functions:




      a) Pump control circuit: Composed of a one-way valve and relief valve, it achieves system pressure buildup and controls the main pump for overload and unloading.




      b) Main cylinder pressure circuit: Controlled by a two-way cartridge valve and its pilot solenoid, it achieves stepless adjustment of the loading force of the 3000-ton FRP cooling tower fan stack molding hydraulic press.




      c) Pressure setting circuit: Regulated by the main system pressure valve, it controls the action of the ejection cylinder.


4. Electrical Control System




The main control system of the 3000-ton fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) cooling tower fan stack molding hydraulic press adopts an integrated circuit controller. Various buttons are installed on the control panel, which is placed on the workshop floor next to the hydraulic press for convenient operation and observation.




1. Electrical System Main Control:


   - The main control can achieve various process cycles of the 3000-ton FRP cooling tower fan stack molding hydraulic press. The machine has two working modes: manual and semi-automatic, switchable with a toggle switch.




2. Power Section:


   - Controls the main power supply and the start/stop and protection switches for various motors.




3. Control Section:


   - Manages all the control operations for the movements of the 3000-ton FRP cooling tower fan stack molding hydraulic press. The control panel is equipped with operational buttons for various actions of the mainframe, as well as function toggle switches and start/stop buttons for various motors.

The system can be equipped with an inner core pulling control system and a preset inner core ejection control system. This allows for a series of actions, including rapid descent, segmented pressing and decompression, working, pressure holding, slow mold opening, fast return, slow demolding, fast ejection, ejection pause, and fast retraction. Additionally, temperature can be controlled at multiple points. The equipment's working pressure, stroke, pressing speed, and slow return speed can all be adjusted within specified parameters according to process requirements.
