Precautions for Starting Hydraulic Pump Motor on 800-Ton Hydraulic Press

1. Before starting, ensure that the hydraulic pump is filled with clean hydraulic oil through the return port on the pump casing. Do not start without proper oil filling.

2. Manually rotate the coupling to check if the pump shaft rotates evenly. This step helps identify any assembly issues with the pump. Verify that the two couplings are concentric and have the necessary axial clearance.

3. Check if the rotation direction of the electric motor matches the specified direction. Ensure correct installation of the inlet and outlet ports.

4. Ensure the hydraulic system has a free-load circulation circuit to avoid starting and stopping the pump under full load, which could reduce pump lifespan and overload the prime mover. The safety valve in the hydraulic system should be adjusted to a pressure not exceeding 35MPa.

5. Initiate the start-up sequence by first activating the pump.
