Causes and Solutions for Excessive Vibration and Noise in the Main Cylinder of a Three-Beam Four-Column Hydraulic Press
Causes and Solutions for Excessive Vibration and Noise in the Main Cylinder of a Three-Beam Four-Column Hydraulic Press
1. Air entering the main cylinder of the four-column hydraulic press
When air enters the hydraulic system, it gets into the main cylinder as the hydraulic system operates, causing shaking and noise during the pressurization process. The machine should be stopped to purge the air from the hydraulic system and the main cylinder.
2. Impurities or iron filings in the main cylinder of the four-column hydraulic press
Impurities friction with the piston rod, and when the surface of the piston rod is rough or damaged, it leads to a too-tight fit, causing dry friction and generating mechanical friction noise. The machine should be immediately stopped for equipment maintenance. Depending on the wear, the piston rod should be repaired or replaced, and the hydraulic oil should be filtered.
3. Unstable hydraulic system pressure
When the hydraulic system of the four-column hydraulic press fluctuates between high and low pressures, instability can lead to vibrations during the machining process, accompanied by significant noise and hydraulic shock. The reasons for the instability of hydraulic pressure should be checked, including voltage instability, and corrective measures should be taken.
4. Aging or severe wear of seals
The seals of the main cylinder age or wear severely, causing significant wear between the seals and the piston rod of the main cylinder, resulting in noise and some degree of vibration during operation. New seals should be replaced.
5. Malfunction of the control system
When the control system of the four-column hydraulic press malfunctions, causing unstable pressurization of the equipment, uneven running speed, leading to main cylinder vibrations and significant noise, the control system and limit switches should be checked and addressed.
