What are the considerations for connecting the hydraulic pump of a 630-ton hydraulic press?
1. The hydraulic pump of the 630-ton hydraulic press can be used together with bearings or flange equipment. The pump and the prime mover should be used together with the base. Both the flange and the base should have satisfactory rigidity. Note: Plunger pumps with a flow rate greater than 160L/min are not suitable for equipment on tanks.
2. A flexible coupling should be used to connect the hydraulic pump to the output shaft of the prime mover. It is prohibited to pump hydraulic pumps on the shaft or gear drive of the hydraulic pump. If pulleys or gears need to be connected to the pump, a pair of bearings should be added to the equipment to drive the pulley or gear. The coaxiality error between the bearings and the pump shaft should not exceed Φ0.05mm.
3. The suction pipe should be as short, straight, large, and thick as possible. A coarse filter should generally be installed on the suction pipe, with a nominal flow rate not less than 2B of the pump flow. The outlet pipe of the hydraulic pump should be directly connected to the oil tank, and the back pressure of the return oil should not exceed 0.05MPa. The suction port and return port of the oil pump should be located 200mm below the oil level of the tank. Care should be taken not to accept equipment filters in the suction line of the plunger pump. The diameter of the cut-off valve on the suction pipe should be greater than the diameter of the suction pipe. The length of the suction pipe should be less than 2500mm, and the number of pipe bends should not exceed 2.
4. The inlet and outlet of the hydraulic pump should be stable, and the sealing equipment should be stable. Otherwise, air intake or oil leakage may occur, affecting the function of the hydraulic pump for the 630-ton hydraulic press.
5. The self-suction height of the hydraulic pump should not exceed 500mm. If an oil pump is selected, the oil pressure should not exceed 0.5MPa. When the oil pressure exceeds 0.5MPa, the pressure seal should be replaced. For plunger pumps, self-suction should be used as much as possible.
6. Before installing the hydraulic pump of the 630-ton hydraulic press, check whether the depth of the equipment hole is greater than the shaft extension length of the pump to avoid the occurrence of the upper shaft phenomenon. Otherwise, the pump may be burned.
