Preventing Foreign Objects in the Hydraulic Cylinder of a 1000-ton Hydraulic Press: Causes and Solutions

  I. Foreign Objects Entering the Hydraulic Cylinder of a 1000-ton Hydraulic Press Hydraulic System

    1. Inadequate pipeline cleaning: After production, hydraulic oil pipes should undergo acid cleaning and be soaked in hydraulic oil. During installation, precautions must be taken to prevent dust or impurities from entering.

    2. Insufficient cleaning of the hydraulic oil tank: Post-welding, the hydraulic oil tank should be internally cleaned, undergo acidification, and oil soaking to remove welding slag and dust, preventing their entry into the hydraulic cylinder.

    3. Formation of sludge in hydraulic oil due to prolonged high-temperature conditions: If the filtration system malfunctions or is not regularly cleaned, sludge may enter the hydraulic cylinder.

    Solutions:

    1. Manufacturers should clean hydraulic pipelines and tanks as required to prevent impurities from entering the hydraulic cylinder during installation.

    2. Regularly filter and change hydraulic oil to prevent excessive impurities from entering the hydraulic cylinder, damaging it.

II. Foreign Objects Generated During the Movement of the Hydraulic Cylinder

    1. Friction-induced iron or iron chips: Small clearance in the buffer device can lead to lateral loads during piston rod movement, causing sintering and the formation of iron or iron chips that remain in the hydraulic cylinder.

    2. Scratching the inner wall of the cylinder: High pressure on the sliding surface of the piston causes sintering. When friction occurs on the inner surface of the cylinder, metal is pushed off, remaining in the hydraulic cylinder.

    3. Aging of sealing rings: Causes wear with the piston rod, allowing the aged part of the sealing ring in contact with hydraulic oil to enter the hydraulic cylinder.

    Solutions:

    1. Design and adjust the clearance of the buffer device properly to avoid unnecessary friction.

    2. Regularly check for scratches on the inner wall of the hydraulic cylinder, perform maintenance, and ensure proper care.

    3. Regularly inspect sealing rings, replacing aged ones to prevent aging materials from entering the hydraulic cylinder.

III. Foreign Objects Entering from the External Environment

    1. Unsealed oil tank: Dust accumulation in a dusty working environment can lead to excessive impurities or deterioration of hydraulic oil over time.

    2. Lack of packaging for hydraulic pipelines, oil tanks, and valve blocks during equipment transportation or installation, causing dust or foreign objects to enter the hydraulic system.

    Solutions:

    1. Implement effective dust removal for the 1000-ton hydraulic press and regularly check the system's sealability.

    2. Ensure proper packaging during equipment transportation, especially for pipelines and hydraulic pump stations, to prevent damage and the entry of dust or impurities. Maintain a clean and hygienic installation environment.
