Causes and Solutions for Zero Pressure in Hydraulic Press

Causes and Solutions for Zero Pressure in Hydraulic Press:

  1. Damaged pump, slide shoe, or piston ball head seal; worn swash plate; worn piston and cylinder bore; malfunctioning variable mechanism; worn distributor plate or cylinder body distributor end face; worn LS valve, pressure cutoff valve, or constant power valve in the pump. Solution: Replace the pump.

  2. Verify the authenticity of the pressure. If there is actual pressure but no display, check if the pressure gauge switch is open. If a significant amount of pressure cannot be displayed, replace the pressure gauge with a suitable range. If the pressure gauge is damaged, replace it.

  3. Incorrect motor rotation direction. Change the motor rotation direction, as incorrect motor rotation can prevent oil suction and result in no system pressure. Verify and correct the pump rotation direction before startup to prevent pump damage. Ensure the correct pump rotation direction by manually turning the pump shaft, filling the pump suction pipe with oil, and connecting a suitable reverse short-circuit valve between the pump's inlet and outlet.

  4. Hydraulic cylinder wear or leakage due to prolonged use.

  5. Pressure relief valve malfunction, leading to pressure reduction.

  6. Malfunctioning pressure reducing valve in a four-column hydraulic press causing a pressure drop.

  7. Oil leakage in the inlet valve causing hydraulic fluid to flow back to the upper chamber.

  8. Wear in the hydraulic press one-way valve resulting in reverse leakage and pressure drop.

Solution: Replace the pump; check and refill the oil level; inspect the oil pipes for leaks and eliminate any leaks; inspect and replace worn components as needed.
