Causes of Slow Movement in the Hydraulic Cylinder of a 200-Ton Hydraulic Press

Causes of Slow Movement in the Hydraulic Cylinder of a 200-Ton Hydraulic Press:

  1. Uneven Friction in the Guiding Components of the Hydraulic Cylinder: Low-speed crawling occurs due to uneven friction in the guiding components of the hydraulic cylinder. It is recommended to prioritize the use of metal as the guiding support. If non-metallic support rings are used, it is advisable to choose non-metallic support rings with good dimensional stability in the hydraulic oil. Particularly, the coefficient of thermal expansion should be small. Additionally, strict control of dimensional tolerances and thickness uniformity is essential for the support ring.

  2. Impact of Component Machining Precision: Precision in the machining of components affects the hydraulic cylinder of the 200-ton hydraulic press. During the manufacturing process, strict control of the machining precision of the inner wall of the cylinder body and the surface of the piston rod is necessary, especially geometric precision, with straightness being a critical factor.

  3. Low-speed Crawling Due to Air Ingress in the Hydraulic Cylinder: If there is air ingress in the hydraulic cylinder, low-speed crawling can occur. This situation can be addressed by running the hydraulic cylinder repeatedly to achieve air exhaust. If necessary, exhaust devices can be installed in the pipelines or both chambers of the hydraulic cylinder, allowing for air removal during the operation of the four-column hydraulic press hydraulic system.

  4. Improper Clearance Design in the Hydraulic Cylinder: Low-speed crawling can result from inadequate clearance design in the hydraulic cylinder of the 200-ton hydraulic press. Properly designing the sliding fit clearance between the internal piston and cylinder body, as well as the piston rod and guide bushing, can mitigate this issue.

  5. Low-speed Crawling Due to Seal Material Issues: In cases where low-speed crawling is caused by seal material concerns in the hydraulic cylinder of a four-column hydraulic press, it is recommended, under permissible conditions, to prioritize the use of combination seals with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as the sealing material.
