How to Determine if the Hydraulic Oil of a 200 Ton Four-Column Hydraulic Press Needs Replacement
How to Determine if the Hydraulic Oil of a 200 Ton Four-Column Hydraulic Press Needs Replacement:
1、Visual Inspection:
- Extract a small amount of oil from the hydraulic pump of the 200-ton four-column hydraulic press.
- Observe any color changes; if the oil appears milky or cloudy (sometimes resembling light yellow milk), it indicates the need for replacement.
2、Burn Test:
- Conduct a burn test to identify the presence of water in the hydraulic oil.
- If burning results in a significant amount of white smoke and the oil feels less sticky to the touch, it signifies emulsification and deterioration, indicating the need for replacement.
3、Touch and Feel:
- Take a small sample of the oil for testing.
- If you feel a significant amount of gelatinous deposits and strong adhesion when rubbing the oil between your fingers, it indicates oxidation.
4、Filter Paper Test:
- Filter a portion of the oil using filter paper.
- If black residue remains on the filter paper, accompanied by a pungent odor, it indicates oxidation and deterioration of the hydraulic oil.
5、Sediment Inspection:
- Directly extract sediment from the bottom of the oil tank.
- If there is a presence of asphalt and deterioration in the sediment, it indicates severe oxidation and deterioration of the hydraulic oil, necessitating replacement.
Experienced technicians may also visually inspect the oil to determine if the hydraulic press requires an oil change. Hydraulic oil is a crucial medium for the normal operation of hydraulic presses, and timely replacement is essential for the smooth functioning of the machine after prolonged use.
