Details to Note During the Operation of the 500-Ton Hydraulic Press

  1. 1.Prevent Air from Entering the System and Expel it Promptly: Preventing air from entering the hydraulic system is crucial to avoid adverse consequences such as noise and oxidation of hydraulic oil. Measures must be taken to prevent air from entering, and any air that has entered the system should be expelled regularly.

  2. 2.Maintain the Cleanliness of Hydraulic Oil: Regularly maintaining the cleanliness of hydraulic oil is essential. Impurities in the oil can lead to valve sticking, blockage of throttle orifices, preventing hydraulic components from functioning properly, and accelerating the wear of moving parts. In addition to using oil filters and various devices to prevent external impurities from entering the system, it is necessary to clean oil filters and replace used oil regularly. During the assembly of the hydraulic system, each hydraulic component and pipeline should be cleaned. After the trial run, components and pipelines should be disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, and then reassembled.

  3. 3.Prevent Leaks: External leaks are not permissible, and while internal leaks are unavoidable, their leakage rate should not exceed allowable values. Excessive leakage can prevent pressure from rising, leading to the hydraulic motor not achieving the expected force (or torque). The magnitude of oil leakage is related to pressure levels, causing unstable movement of working components. Additionally, excessive leakage increases volumetric losses, raises oil temperature, and to prevent excessive leakage, appropriate clearances between moving parts and proper sealing devices should be ensured.

  4. 4.Prevent Excessive Oil Temperature: Maintaining the oil temperature within the range of 15-50°C is generally suitable for hydraulic systems. Excessive oil temperature can result in various adverse consequences. Elevated oil temperature causes oil to thin, increases leakage, and reduces system efficiency. Operating oil at higher temperatures makes it prone to deterioration. To prevent excessive oil temperature, measures such as designing to avoid oil heating (e.g., unloading the pump and using volume control for high-power systems) should be taken, and consideration should be given to whether the oil tank has sufficient heat dissipation capacity. If necessary, a cooling device can be added.
