Considerations for Choosing Hydraulic Oil in the Selection of Forming Hydraulic Press
Considerations for Choosing Hydraulic Oil in the Selection of Forming Hydraulic Press:
The selection of hydraulic oil for forming hydraulic presses is a crucial aspect that cannot be overlooked in daily operations. Choosing the right hydraulic oil allows the hydraulic press to operate more efficiently. However, how should one choose the appropriate hydraulic oil for a four-column hydraulic press? If you are unsure, continue reading the following introduction.
Different hydraulic oils should be selected for forming hydraulic presses at different ambient temperatures. When the ambient temperature is high, it is advisable to choose high-viscosity hydraulic oil, and when the ambient temperature is low, low-viscosity hydraulic oil is recommended. In the hydraulic system of machine tools, No. 10 hydraulic oil can be used in winter, and No. 20 hydraulic oil can be used in summer.
This is mainly because the viscosity of mineral oil changes significantly with temperature. Choosing different brands of hydraulic oil based on changes in ambient temperature ensures that the hydraulic system oil has suitable viscosity. When the components move at high speeds, the fluid velocity is also high, resulting in relatively large hydraulic losses, but relatively small fluid leakage. The pump's suction function is also poor in this scenario, and lower viscosity oil should be chosen. When the components move at low speeds, the fluid velocity is low, and hydraulic losses are not significant. To minimize fluid leakage, higher viscosity oil should be selected.
